The Western Academy of Photography offers ten-month programs leading to a diploma in Professional Photography or Journalism and Photojournalism (referred to as our Written Image Program).

The objective of our curriculum is to take students with basic entry-level knowledge and provide them with a solid grounding in professional techniques and practices. Our programs offer students an advantage over two to four year programs offered at other institutions. The Western Academy has established an intensive Diploma Program producing new and competent professionals in a more time sensitive schedule of learning.

In addition, students can continue with a post-diploma program leading to a Diploma in Advanced Visual Communications (also open to students with appropriate professional training). This program features further study on marketing, branding, business, web development and self-directed studies to extend your skills in the areas of which you are interested.
